The Kirisun PT558 is a high quality 16 channel UHF handheld transceiver with features to suit a wide range of applications. With an impressive build standard and very robust construction, it can be placed in most situations.

In addition to the extensive range of functions available, the PT558 also features an emergency signal to alert people when emergency assistance is required.

For use in darkness and to assist users with impaired vision, the PT558 provides a ‘Voice Channel Announcement’ feature. If this feature is activated, when the channel annunciation button is pressed in standby mode, the current channel is announced though the loudspeaker.

Other features include:

• TIME-OUT TIMER:
  To protect the unit from damage through overheating
  and to reduce annoyance to other channel users if the unit
  is held on transmit continuously, the transmitter will turn off once a
  pre-set duration is exceeded.
   
• BATTERY SAVING:
  With this feature activated, if nothing is
  received or no transmissions have been made for 10 seconds, the
  PT558 enters the battery saving mode and decreases the power
  consumption.
   
• LOWBATTERYWARNING:
  When the battery power falls below a
  preset level during transmission, the LED flashes red and a low
  battery warning tone sounds. The unit will then cease transmitting
  and the user will need to change or charge the battery.
